The project awarded includes the design and construction of the kart racing circuit with the supporting installations, as well as the installations of the track and other equipment for the training centre and the overhead passage between the two paddocks.

The kart racing track will be 1223 metres long and 8 metres wide. The home stretch will be 150 metres long.

The project, scheduled to be completed in 10 months, also includes a control tower building, stands, a support building and the training centre and schools for professional and defensive driving.

The kart racing circuit, a part of the Estoril Race Track complex, will be designed for competition at the highest level, as well as for use by the general public, especially children and youth.

This project aims to create new uses for the Estoril Race Track, with the defensive driving school and training centre having their own track, simulators for daytime and night-time driving and every type of vehicle, from ambulances to fire fighters’ vehicles, buses, vehicles for transporting children and elderly people, trucks and articulated trucks and trailers.
